AMSN Convention 2022

Join us for the 31th AMSN Annual Convention September 29 – October 2, 2022. Celebrating 31 Years Dedicated to Med-Surg Nurses. Join the Global Celebration at Convention this year.
See you in San Antonio

AMSN’s 31st convention will be in San Antonio this year. We are committed to having something in person, especially after having to be virtual the past two years. Unless we are told that we are unable to be together in San Antonio, you can trust that we’ll be together in some way this year.

Convention this year runs from September 29th to October 2nd. Registration will open April 6th, and we’ll be offering both in-person and virtual registration options.

We have awesome sessions planned, and because it’s our first convention together in 3 years, lots of opportunities to network and connect with other med-surg nurses. Convention will offer 38 hours of education, yoga each morning before the sessions begin, and some fun evening events.

We’re also extending the exhibit hall into Saturday for the first time ever. This year we’re going to offer breakfast and lunch in the exhibit hall on Saturday, and we’re also adding product theaters in the exhibit hall Friday and Saturday.

The team has been doing a great job with planning the convention with you in mind, so you really won’t want to miss it! ReAD MORE.

Our keynote speaker this year is Joshua Lozoff, a magician and actor that will talk to us all about the magic of communication. We can’t wait to hear Joshua entertain and engage us on Thursday at the opening session.

We have sessions covering a range of topics relevant and important to your work across your choice of tracts: leadership, clinical, evidence-based practice, healthy practice environment and general.

You’ll be able to attend sessions live, and if you can’t choose between sessions, you can go into the online library after convention and watch the sessions you missed!

RiverwalkIf you haven’t been to San Antonio, it’s the second largest city in Texas. It has the riverwalk, a fun attraction full of restaurants, bars, shopping, and a fun boat cruise on the river.

It’s a great place to visit after convention sessions end, and most of the restaurants on the riverwalk have fun outdoor patios to enjoy dinner with friends old and new.

In addition to the riverwalk, San Antonio has the Alamo, a Spanish mission and a world heritage site known most for the battle of the Alamo in 1836.

We look forward to welcoming you to San Antonio and to be back together in person. It’s been too long, and we miss you all. We know it’s been a tough couple years, and time together is exactly what we need right about now.

We have a great convention planned, and if you can’t travel to San Antonio, don’t worry, you’ll be able to attend convention virtually and we have technology that will allow you to engage with the attendees that are onsite during the sessions, visit with the exhibitors and spend time with other virtual attendees.

Stay tuned for our emails and social posts to tell you where and how to register. I can’t wait to see you in San Antonio!
